Ms Bensellam is the director of Lux Hair, the salon she founded in 2018. As a business owner, she works in the salon herself, surrounded by her clients, her team and the administration that comes with a growing business.
In her salon, she primarily sells her time and expertise. She has worked with Finexpert on the accounting and tax side of her business since the coronavirus pandemic, with Layla as her dedicated account manager.
Availability during difficult times
During the coronavirus pandemic, hair salons had to temporarily close their doors. The government made support grants available to affected businesses, but applying for them was not straightforward for every business owner.
“During the coronavirus pandemic, the government made grants available to businesses that were required to close. Because I did not know how to apply for them, I obtained the contact details of Finexpert, formerly Rabofin, through acquaintances,” Ms Bensellam explains.
“That was when I became a Finexpert client.” What started with that one question about a grant grew into a relationship that has now lasted for years.

Over the past few years, Lux Hair has become a trusted name in the neighbourhood, with a team that helps manage the busy periods and clients who return every month. Alongside the salon's daily activity, the bookkeeping continues too, and Bensellam relies on Finexpert for that.
